According to Zannah et al. (2022), Wordwall is a digital gamification application, web-based, offering various game and quiz features. Educators can use it to assess learning materials. Developed and launched by Visual Education Ltd. (a UK-based company), Wordwall provides educators with a tool to create engaging learning activities for assessment purposes.
Okay I'll show you how to create and use a Wordwall activity by sharing an example I've already made. Wordwall is really flexible you can make activities for kids, teens, or adults, depending on the difficulty you need. Please review the following steps!
Go to the wordwall website at:https://wordwall.net
Account ("Sign Up" or "Register") using your email address.
If you already have an account, just log in
4. Click the "Create Activity" button in the right hand menu.
5. Choose Template: Select the "Matching Pairs" template.
6. Add Vocabulary:
Column 1: Upload pictures of animals. (Use clear and engaging images)
Column 2: Enter the English names of the animals. And click the "Done" button. Wordwall will save your activity.
This is a matching game I created, Ensure each picture is correctly paired with its animal name.
Test and Publish: Test the game to ensure it works correctly.
Once you're satisfied, publish the game and copy the link.
