As a Research Associate in the Agricultural Department under Dr. Abdus Salam (Chief Scientific Officer) and Nasrin Sultana (Senior Scientific Officer) of the Bangladesh Space Research and Remote Sensing Organization, working on the 2023/24 research project titled 'Developing an agricultural drought monitoring model based on multi-source remote sensing data.’
Responsibilities:
· Gather and manage diverse remote sensing data, including satellite imagery and meteorological data.
· Collaborate on creating a robust agricultural drought monitoring model using advanced statistical techniques.
· Conduct spatial analysis to identify and map agricultural drought indicators, facilitating targeted monitoring.
· Maintain comprehensive documentation of methodologies, results, and challenges, and communicate findings through reports and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.

Worked under The World Bank in Bangladesh Weather and Climate Services Regional Project (P150220) (Component A- Strengthening Meteorological Information Services) in the National Meteorological Communication Center (NMCC) department under the GIS and Remote Sensing wing to strengthen the Government of Bangladesh’s capacity to deliver reliable weather, water, and climate information services and improve access to such services by priority sectors and communities.
Responsibilities:
Conducting research on weather patterns and phenomena.
Analyzing meteorological data and creating maps using GIS.
Writing research papers and reports on meteorological topics.
Collaborating with national and international meteorological organizations.
Presenting research findings at conferences and workshops.
