The workshop highlights practical, scalable solutions that organizations can put into action today, alongside focused panel and roundtable discussions from each stakeholder group. As AI-powered technologies continue to evolve rapidly, we will explore how AI can intelligently support our goal of achieving data and system interoperability, connecting people, processes, and technologies to streamline workflows and improve overall efficiency.
In total, 80 people from various stakeholder groups, including asset owners, asset operators, EPC contractors, software vendors, system integrators and academia, participated in the workshop.
Texas A&M University team has awarded international collaboration research with Yonsei University supported by Korea Agency for Infrastructure Technology Advancement (KAIA).
The objective of this research is to develop an AI-based semantic interoperability technology that enables seamless data exchange and integration for process plants.
A two-day industry multi-stakeholder workshop, entitled "Harnessing Digital Transformation through Asset Data and Systems Interoperability", was held at Texas A&M University from October 25th to 26th, 2023.
The workshop brought together 41 participants from owners/operators, standards organizations, EPC contractors, software suppliers, consultants and academia.
The workshop discussed the industry’s needs for standards-based approaches to data and systems interoperability of capital assets throughout their life cycle, addressed challenges and barriers, shared some successful cases, and explored future directions.
