Adesola Sunmoni
Hello, welcome to my web page!
I am a Lecturer in Economics at the University of Reading, United Kingdom. I am also a consultant for the Development Economics Vice Presidency at the World Bank. My research interests include Development Economics, Labour Economics (focusing on migration), and Applied Microeconomics.
I obtained a PhD in Economics from the University of Reading, United Kingdom. I also hold a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Surrey, United Kingdom and a Bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. I am an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA).
I have previously held teaching positions at University College London and Queen Mary, University of London. Prior to my PhD studies, I worked as a Sub-Saharan Africa Economist for a renowned financial services firm in Lagos, Nigeria and as a graduate intern in PricewaterHouse Coopers (PwC).
Outside of work, I enjoy watching football matches, playing video games and spending time with my family and friends.
