This mentorship is for those who already have a foundational understanding of astrology and want to refine their ability to read charts, not for those just starting to learn the basics. You don't have to feel confident putting it all together yet!

You do need to know the basics of the signs, planets, and houses and be able to point them out on a chart.

❌ You are Married to Mainstream Tropical Astrology:

I am a constellational astrologer who uses the actual size and placement of the real constellations.

All of the techniques we will be using are traditional, bread-and-butter astrology that can be used with any zodiac! But in this space, we use the real stars, and if that doesn't excite you, or spark your curiosity, this probably won't be your jam.

❌ You only want to learn theory without practicing:

In this program, there will be no modules. There is no online course, there are no powerpoint presentations. It is all live, and hands-on. If you’re not ready to actively read charts, give and receive feedback, and test your skills in real-world practice, this isn’t for you.

❌ You’re uncomfortable with being PRESENT:

I'm just going to toot my own horn here for a second- I am good at facilitating next-level spaces where we dive under the surface to go DEEP! I will call on you to participate, and I will challenge you to speak on camera.

In Adept, you will have your own chart read many times, from many different angles, potentially uncovering interesting patterns and opportunities for personal growth. This program will allow you to be witness, witnessed, and encouraged to step into a life that is fulfilling and empowered!

If deep self-exploration and personal shares feel like too much right now, this is probably not the right space for you.

❌ You want a rigid, one-size-fits-all reading method:

This mentorship is about helping you tap into your intuition and develop your unique reading style. If you’re looking for a strict, formulaic approach to astrology rather than a space to explore and experiment, this may not align with your needs.

❌ You’re looking for quick results without commitment:

Transformation takes time. I'm not here to regurgitate the same information you've heard a hundred times, I'm here to turn you into actual, real-life astrologers who can feel confident reading, charging, and helping their clients to grow.

If you can’t commit to showing up, practicing, and engaging with the group, you will not get the full benefit of this mentorship. While there will be replays available, the participatory, conversational style we work in will make attending important.

I get it- we're all busy- I'm not saying you absolutely must attend every single class, there will be many learning opportunities, but there will be some assignments, and you won't be able to just sit this one out on the edges without saying anything or being a part of this incredible group.

3x Chart Reading Workshops per Month:

Here, we meet to work on specific techniques and topics, reading charts in person, having the to opportunity to both read and be read for, and learning in real time how to use astrology to help your clients or loved ones.

Co-Working Times:

These are entirely optional, but could be super helpful! This is time for us to come together and have the work on projects, whether it is readings for class, or that Full Moon writing you've been putting on the backburner for months. Come hang out, listen to some music and get 'er done.

Family Calls:

This is an opportunity to just sit back and receive, open to the transits and experience astrology in action.

The Workbook:

I will craft you a personal workbook, which will contain insightful questions to help you decide what kind of reader you want to be, help you come up with a signature style, and a planetary journal to use to track the new and full moons through your houses to gain a sense of what transits actually feel like.

Opportunities to Share:

I will arrange opportunities for students to share their own takes on transits in small group settings, to an intimate audience.

Practice Readings:

I will pair you up with other initiates to practice one-on-one readings in a variety of styles, getting feedback from the perspective of those you read for, and me, eventually culminating in the creation of your own, signature reading styles.

What is the "Personal Workbook"?

We will have a selection of transits we will be watching throughout the program, your workbook will have your personal information already loaded into it, what house it's transiting through, and which parts of your chart it is hitting, all inputted ahead of time by yours truly.

Each workshop will have worksheets for performing readings, a variety of questions to help you drill down on what kind of reader you want to be, and more!

Everyone who participates will get a digital version (personalization included).

Me & My Philosophy

Hey, I'm Rio!

I have been studying astrology since I learned that there was such a thing as a Natal Chart in 2008. It is wild to me to realize that I have been studying this for practically half my life, and the entirety of my adult life! Time flies, as they say.

I began reading for friends and family in 2015, began creating astro-datebooks which I sold at local Zine Fairs in 2016, and began writing publicly about astrology around 2019.

In 2020 I studied Evolutionary Astrology under Sabrina Monarch, where I was given an opportunity to really practice reading charts in person, with real time feedback. The growth I experienced here was exponential, and it really helped me to level up my practice.

In 2020 I also started producing Astrology Calendars. At this point, I had heard about Sidereal, and despite completely rejecting my Sidereal chart at first glance, it just kept whispering at me, over and over again. So I decided, as an experiment, to make two calendars. One Tropical, and one Sidereal, so I could compare the two and feel into the transits.

This lead me, rather quickly, to adopt the sidereal system. Which opened up a variety of questions for me regarding the gaps between Astrology and Astronomy. These days it's well accepted that the two are totally different... But once upon a time, all of the Astrologers were Astronomers as well. So where did everything go so awry?

Shortly after that, I discovered "True Sidereal" aka Constellational astrology, and all of the information I'd been stuffing into my brain for 12 years suddenly just clicked. I stepped into the flow, and started reading professionally and creating video content in 2021.

Since then, I have taken classes, helped out in classes as an assistant, and helped to create and co-host Bat Cave, a 13 week embodied astrology experience. Bat Cave was INCREDIBLE and really demonstrated to me the power of the star medicine, all we have to do is open to it.

Philosophy:

My teaching philosophy is that we use it, or we lose it. You could, quite literally, spend your entire lifetime reading about astrology. There is no shortage of information out there. I don't know about you guys.. But I need to actually DO something to learn it. The only astrology course I've ever taken that actually prepared me to be a professional practitioner (despite many claiming to) required me to actually practice, on real people.

I'm not here to give you the information, I am here to facilitate. Yes- you will learn things, I will teach you techniques, but this isn't about the information, it's about the actual applied PRACTICE, so you can walk out the door and consider yourself.. Well- an Adept!

The best compliment I ever got was when I was told that two sessions with me were more productive than a year of weekly therapy. This is what I am hoping to impart to anyone I teach: how to be USEFUL.

It is so easy in spiritual spaces to spend a whole lot of time talking, without actually saying anything of substance.

It is also easy to find yourself in a situation with someone (if you can read a natal chart, you can peer into a person's soul) who is unknowingly giving their power away, and do actual damage.

In day-to-day life, I don't believe that we are responsible for how other people receive us or react to what we have to say. I believe in personal responsibility. However, if you are taking on a counselor role and dealing with sensitive information, you are stepping into a higher level of responsibility that should be handled with due respect.

In my spaces, you will learn how to respect that role, how to serve at that level of responsibility, and how to provide your clients with meaningful information that fosters positive change.
