Bachelor's Degree in Physics by Fluminense Federal University, Brazil (1991), Master's Degree in Physics with an emphasis in Nuclear Physics by Fluminense Federal University, Brazil (1994) and a DSc in Nuclear Engineering, with emphasis on Applied Nuclear Physics, by COPPE/Alberto Luiz Coimbra Institute for Graduate Studies and Research in Engineering - Federal University of Rio de January. He is currently Full Professor at the Alberto Luiz Coimbra Institute for Graduate Studies and Engineering Research/COPPE and the Polytechnic School of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, working in Applied Nuclear Physics, Environmental Radioprotection and Computational Modeling applied to matter interaction radiation simulation. He is supervisor/advisor to PostDocs, PhD students, MSc students and advisory consultant to the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development - CNPq and several other development agencies. Scientist of Our State by Foundation for Research Support of the State of Rio de Janeiro - FAPERJ.
