Hi! I'm Addy, and I love to pitch! When I first started, I didn't know anything about pitching, so I spent a lot of time researching different styles and drills online. I created this website to share my experiences and help other girls who want to learn to pitch. Here, you'll find a variety of pitching drills, tips, and in-game highlights to showcase my skills and inspire you.
I am excited to benefit others through my journey, and I aim to present my hard work and dedication through this platform. My goal is to provide at-home workouts and in- game highlights that motivate and encourage young girls to work hard and pursue their passion for pitching, just as I have. Pitching may not be the easiest position on the field, but with time, effort, and dedication, it can become the most enjoyable. I hope this website helps you improve your skills and fuels your love for the game as much as it has for me.
The moment I moved up from coach pitch softball and saw a girl stand tall on the mound and then launch a ball past a batter for a strike, I knew I wanted to pitch. My dad discouraged me, saying it would take a lot of time and work. He didn't think I had the dedication, and I can't say I blame him since I had tried all kinds of other sports and arts only to lose interest. I begged him to let me practice pitching, but he wanted to focus on hitting and fielding. I persisted and one day, he finally allowed me to try pitching. I wasn't good, nor was I horrible, but I was determined and my dad saw that and continued to work with me. A lot of time and hard work has been spent improving my pitches, but I have earned most of my success with persistence. Being a pitcher means never giving up when facing illness, extreme weather, tough batters, extra innings or an all day tournament. Pitching takes extreme dedication and confidence.
My softball team was very successful in the summer of 2019. We practiced hard, played hard and had a lot of fun! We were champions in 6 tournaments!
Here is a video I made showing how I prepare to pitch in all types of weather conditions.
