Privacy Policy
We respect user privacy and aim to be transparent about how our browser extension (“the Extension”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) processes information. This Privacy Policy describes what information may be processed, why it may be processed, and what measures are used to protect it.
By installing or using the Extension, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted the practices described in this Policy.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies only to the Extension and its core functionality: blocking ads and related advertising elements on Twitch.
It does not apply to third-party websites, services, or platforms that you may access while browsing (including Twitch itself). Those services have their own privacy practices.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
The Extension does not require registration and is designed to operate without collecting personally identifiable information (“PII”).
We do not ask for or intentionally collect:
Names
Email addresses
Telephone numbers
Payment details
Physical addresses
Login credentials
Account identifiers
3. Limited Technical Information
To maintain stability and ensure the Extension functions correctly as Twitch changes over time, the Extension may process limited non-personal technical information such as:
Browser type and version
Operating system details
Basic diagnostic information
Error and performance logs related to the Extension’s operation
This information is processed only for operational, reliability, and troubleshooting purposes.
4. Random Internal Identifier (UID)
When the Extension is first used, it may generate a random internal identifier (“UID”).
The UID:
is generated randomly
is not derived from personal information
is not tied to device-specific identifiers
cannot be used by us to determine your identity
The UID is used to distinguish anonymized technical sessions and support basic operational functions. The UID may also include (or be associated with) the Extension installation timestamp.
5. Request Validation (Time-Based Hash)
When the Extension communicates with update resources, it may send:
the UID
a hash derived from the request time
This time-based hash is used to validate requests and reduce abuse (for example, to confirm that requests are legitimate and timely). It is not used to collect personal information.
6. Rules and Logic Updates (Twitch Ad-Blocking Instructions)
To keep ad-blocking effective, the Extension may periodically retrieve configuration materials and instructions (for example, filtering rules and logic updates) from multiple resources.
These instructions are used solely to:
apply or update Twitch ad-blocking behavior
maintain compatibility with Twitch changes
improve stability and reliability
resolve technical issues
The instructions retrieved are configuration data required for the Extension to function and are not intended to identify users.
7. Local Storage
The Extension may store limited data locally in your browser (such as preferences, settings, and cached configuration) to provide its functionality.
You can remove this local data by uninstalling the Extension or clearing its stored data in your browser.
8. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.
Information may be disclosed only if required by applicable law or when necessary to protect rights, safety, and security (for example, responding to lawful requests or preventing abuse).
9. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information processed in connection with the Extension. However, no method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Extension is not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Extension after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
12. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, please use the support contact method provided in the Extension listing page.
