The short version: the extension does not collect your browsing. No user IDs, no profiles, no analytics libraries, no requests to third parties, and we never sell data. Your settings stay in your browser.
The extension talks to our servers in exactly three cases:
It periodically fetches its blocking rules and its feature settings. These requests contain only the extension version.
It sends a small number of anonymous usage events, for example that an ad got through despite blocking, or that an in-extension notice was shown, dismissed or turned off. These events contain only the event type, a local display counter and the rules version. No URLs, no browsing history, nothing that identifies you.
If you actively report an ad that got through, your report includes the URL of the affected video and technical details of the detection. Nothing is reported without your click.
Events and reports are processed on our cloud infrastructure and kept only as long as we need them to improve blocking. Like any server, ours keep short-lived technical access logs; these are never linked to the events.
In a few defined situations the extension opens one of our web pages in a browser tab: once after installation, when you uninstall, and optionally for update news if you enabled that setting. Like any website, these pages receive standard access data and describe their own analytics.
Where the GDPR applies, you have the usual rights (access, correction, erasure, objection, complaint to a supervisory authority). Just contact us.
