Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is based on the belief that children learn best through discovery and hands-on exploration. We teach to the whole child and embrace different learning styles. Adath Emanu-El ECC strives to provide an enriched environment where children can grow academically as well as social-emotionally under the care of our experienced and trained staff.

The Early Childhood Center at Adath Emanu-El believes in an emergent and child centered approach to learning. We believe in creating an inclusive environment where children of diverse backgrounds and abilities can succeed and learn organically as individuals.

Young children acquire new skills and knowledge best through play and inquiry. Our ECC provides opportunities for these learning experiences within a warm, supportive, and nurturing environment. We respect and celebrate each child's unique qualities as we facilitate their cognitive, physical, social, emotional and linguistic development.

We respect each child’s right to grow and progress on their own pace. Our teachers meet each child’s needs socially, emotionally, and academically at a level that is developmentally appropriate for each child. We promote positive self-esteem, respect for others, confidence, and teamwork. Adath Emanu-El ECC seeks to foster a love of Jewish heritage, customs, and holidays. Our curriculum includes Jewish culture through song, dance, arts and crafts, and celebrations.
