Timing:

Overheating has always been an issue for CPUs. However, now there are so many applications for CPUs in jobs and in people's daily lives that it is important more now then ever that CPUs can run as fast as possible and last as long as possible. There are many applications of CPUs being used for very high end computing now in everyday life that overheating has become a very relevant issue that if fixed would improve the lives of many people.

Trend:

The trend for computers is for them to become even more advanced and need to be run at even higher capacities. As computers get even more complex it will become more and more important for a proper cooling system to be installed so overheating does not occur and the computer can last longer

Impact:

With an advanced cooling system being used for a computer it will be much easier to track the temperature of the computer and prevent overheating. Being able to do this will make CPUs run much more effectively and improve the lifetime of the CPU which is very important because of how often computers are used in everyday life and because of how expensive repairs or a new computer would be.
