About the apps

Each of the apps I have created have been inspired by my kids.

Being the parents of two amazing neurodiverse kids have expanded our horizons greatly, have allowed us to enjoy their learning even more. It is clear for us, as parents, that they will go far and they will do so at their own pace, we are here to support and cheer on them.

My first application "Kid's Calendar" was developed because I could not find what I wanted exactly on the app store. I did it for fun, for me first, but then I was happily surprised my kids liked my app, my kids enjoyed adding stuff they wanted to do during the day, our schedules became very smooth and organized; my kids learned a lot!

Accomplishing this with my first app opened my eyes to all the possibilities, I started to think what else could I do, but this time it was not only for me but for them. My kids were both going to speech therapy at the time and one of their goals was to correctly state the "He/She" pronouns, and that's how my second app "Speech Aid: He - She" was born and it really helped them, even the speech therapist noticed the difference and was impressed with my kids and the app.

I developed the next app "Learn About My Family" because I wanted them to learn emergency phones and their address, it was again a success with the kids. A friend suggested adding getting to know extended family and teachers and I agreed so it was added. It was actually one of my kids' favorite feature because they got to see lots of pictures of distant family.

My next application is aimed more towards us, the parents. One of the questions that we, as parents of neurodiverse kids, asked ourselves often is what is triggering that behavior? Was it something they ate? Something they saw? So I decided to create an app where I could add as many triggers and as many behaviors I observed to search for patterns. So far I have found a few, so it has helped me to identify and be able to decrease the triggers that were causing a behavior.

And so my journey continues, we will see what comes next. Hope your children and you benefit from these apps as much as we have in our household.
