At CT 181 and CT 179 in Hartland.
20 turns right at Granville Rd. in Hartland. EB shield is after Mountain Rd.
Metacomet Trail crossing at Holcomb St./Newgate Rd. in East Granby with WB shield just beyond the intersection.
Into Granby at the US 202/CT 10/CT 189 junction. 189 comes along for a very short concurrency through downtown Granby before splitting off. The old shields are welcome in the second pic, all except the Helvetica font 202 signs. Helvetica returns as 20 leaves 189.
Collection of WB shields: after CT 189, after Bushy Hill Rd./Barndoor Hills Rd., and after Day St./Day St. S.
CT 20 leaves West Granby Rd. and becomes Hartland Rd., apparently CT 219 is important enough to be signed from here.
To the CT 219 junction, it's a shame the wide shield replaced a more appealing sign.
Into Hartland where 20 bends right at Pederson Rd. and you can easily return to CT 189 via Mountain Rd. (secret CT 539).
Approaching CT 179 in East Hartland. The junction is strange, with CT 20 WB stopping at Granville Rd., bearing left, then taking a right turn to stay on North Hollow Rd. while CT 179 takes Hartland Blvd. then makes a left turn for South Rd. It's a lot easier to see why it's weird if you're looking at a map.
WB shield after the southern end of Old Town Rd. in Hartland and another after the northern end. On the other side of the Barkhamsted Reservoir we reach CT 181, a short connector to the Pleasant Valley village in Barkhamsted.
CT 187 SB approaching 20 in East Granby. Did RIDOT install that I-91 shield?
