Musician/ Composer/ Sound Designer / Audio Engineer
A short showreel showcasing samples of compositional work I have completed. Including a mix of university assignments, freelance work, and personal projects.
The music from my final project, which features in a montage towards the start of the video, is available below at the link titled "Modern Digital Gladiators Soundtrack"
IN ENGINE AUDIO IMPLEMENTATION DEMO
In- engine footage of audio implemented in a game in Unity, showcasing two tracks, a menu, and sound.
The audio is integrated spatially, with crowd noises getting louder as you approach them, while also using Doppler effects as you pass. Each track also features setting - specific audio. For example, the Brighton Track features a variety of seagull recordings, and when near the sea, you can hear the waves. The Seoul Track contains a variety of city noises, creating the feeling of a living place surrounding the track
Engine noise is created from a synth tone that changes pitch based on the car's speed. As there are no gear changes, the noise simply increases in pitch, as the cars are designed to drive and sound like karts, with the engine noise being based on a 2-stroke engine.
The music is all original compositions, with some being modified pieces from my final project, and the rest being composed after leaving university.
A link to the game demo for Windows is below.
