I am an educator with 13 years of experience in the classroom. I developed strategies to the individual needs of every student.  My passion for teaching has helped me to stay positive and strong to ensure I am successful in helping each student I work with strive to meet their fullest potential.  I am currently working as a resource room teacher for grades 3 through 5th.  This position has provided my with the unique experience of designing curriculum aligned to common core, enhance struggling learners willingness to be in the classroom, as well as, work with general education teachers as they move forward in helping more students become proficient and advanced.  I am also the current team leader for the special education team at my current school, where I help enhance curriculum, promote co-teaching, and work to solve a variety of issues that come before our teachers and students.  Due to my varied hands on experience, I feel I am a highly qualified candidate for Early Childhood/ Elementary Level Educator with special interest in working with students with Autism.

My greatest strength is my ability to understand the needs of my students and be able to help them cope with frustration and stress.  I see myself as an observer who takes watch over what is going on in the classroom, analyzes what I see and creates an environment where students can be successful.  I am a hard worker, very organized, patient and an advocate for the students.  I strive to be a team player and work to support both students and teachers.
