Finished 2nd in Conservation Public Speaking, which moved me from areas to regionals where I placed 6th. During this competition, I had to write a 6 page APA research paper and then recite it through memorization; it was graded on ability to public speak, memorization, and my manuscript was also graded by an English teacher.
At the Partner in Career Development Student Showcase, I gave around a 5 minute speech to over 70 people about my business and business goals, as well as continuing education and sports plans. I was also able to present my business to and network with many adults within Central PA.
