Elle Carlson
Hi, my name is Elle Carlson. I am currently a sophomore in the Architecture Masters Program. On campus I am a member of Alpha Delta Pi, I’m a member of the American Institute of Architecture Students, and a part of Warm the World. My dad is a pilot in the Navy so I have lived all across the country but I’m currently living in Virginia Beach Virginia. In my free time I enjoy spending time with friends, traveling, and cooking!
Business
Luke Webb
This is Luke and he is an associate senator on the Rights Committee in Student Senate. He's a junior studying marketing with a certificate in music enterprise. Since being at KU, he has served as a Student Senate representative on the advisory board for KJHK and has obtained internships in the marketing field of the music industry. Student Senate has allowed him to make a true difference by having a voice in the decisions made on campus.
Chris Raithel
This is Chris, he is a third year student at KU and in his second year of Student Senate. He's studying accounting with a minor in business analytics, and hoping to make a career in auditing. Chris has been an officer for the Undergraduate Business Council and Honors Community Advocates, a volunteer for the Campus Cupboard, and a co-founder of KU Gaymers, which provides recreation for queer and trans students on campus. He grew up in rural Kansas and likes to visit home from time to time to see his family, golden retrievers, and rabbit. Previously in Senate, Chris assisted deliberations in the Finance Council and wrote legislation to improve access to funding. This year he has provided support to the DEI and Educational Opportunity Funds. If you have any questions about the Senate funding process, let him know and he'll be happy to help!
Noah Coggan
Noah Coggan, a junior at the University of Kansas, is studying Finance (pre-law) within the Jack Dicus Business Honors Program. Originally from Plano, Texas, Noah is involved in campus life as a member of the Jewish Business Club and the University of Kansas Business Leadership Program. Beyond his academic pursuits, Noah can be found DJ-ing at local bars like the Hawk and at the Chabad house, Noah enjoys working-out, cooking, investing, and traveling. He loves to be social so feel free to say hi whenever you see him around the campus!
James Whaley
Jim Whaley is a sophomore at KU studying accounting in the Jack Dicus Business Honors Program and planning to pursue his CPA. Originally from Columbia, Missouri, he is deeply involved in campus life. Jim actively participates in various organizations including Beta Alpha Psi, Finance Club, Entrepreneurship Club, Global Business Initiative, and Sigma Nu Fraternity. Beyond his campus engagements, you can often find Jim tutoring his peers, honing his basketball skills, or cheering on the Jayhawks.

Casey Soper
Casey Soper is a sophomore at KU, majoring in Film and Journalism, and minoring in English. Casey is in his first year of Student Senate, serving as a Senator for the college of Liberal Arts & Sciences. As a Senator he is a part of the Student's Rights & Affairs committee. After joining he has learned more about how to build community around the KU campus. When he’s not working at the downtown Starbucks on Mass St, he likes to watch movies and listen to music.
Monisha Biswa
This is Monisha Biswa, a third year political science student here at KU! She's currently VP of Minorities in Pre-Law Association and the Director of Social Justice for Student Senate. She has enjoyed her position in Student Senate connecting with all of the multicultural organizations on campus. Outside of KU, she is interning with the Department of Commerce this spring helping Minority and Women owned businesses in Kansas!
Assata Wilkinson
Assata Wilkinson is a current junior at the University of Kansas studying psychology and Applied Behavioral Science. Within the university, Wilkinson is involved with Student Union Activities (SUA) as their Recruitment and Retention Coordinator. Before becoming a coordinator, she was a committee member. As a committee member and coordinator Wilkinson assisted with planning and running events on campus. As recruitment and retention coordinator she meets with new members and assists with getting them acclimated with SUA. Outside of school, Wilkinson works as a tutor and enjoys baking and cooking for friends and family. She also enjoys gardening and taking care of her pet cat.
Noah Faddis
He is a current junior at KU studying Environmental Studies with a minor in Business on the pre-law track. He joined Student Senate this year, and has served as a member of the Student Rights Council and he has been on the required student Fee Review Committee. Other activities he is currently involved in at KU are Sunrise KU and Phi Alpha Delta (pre-law fraternity), and he is interning under Tami Albin and Dr. Shannon O’Lear as a press-book editor. Another fun fact about Faddis is that he has earned his Kansas Permaculture Design Certificate, as he has a big interest in agricultural sustainability and food security!
Jayden Walker
This is Jadyn Walker and he is a second year student studying political science. He has been actively involved with Student Senate since the fall of his freshman year and has loved every moment of it. He has also been involved with KU Mock Trial, Phi Alpha Delta (pre-law fraternity), and actives with the Dole Center of Politics! He also is involved with the young adult ministry at is church. Some of his favorite things to do are listen to music, have deep conversations with his friends, travel, and meet new people and hear their stories! He is passionate, optimistic, and charismatic about doing his small part in bringing purpose change and empowering others in his communities and schools! Currently, one of his favorite quotes is “live in the present moments that use to be the unimaginable future!” Rock Chalk!
Ariana McDaniel
Ariana McDaniel is a dedicated Junior at the University of Kansas, pursuing her studies in behavioral neuroscience. She actively engages with campus life, holding the esteemed position of Vice President in Her Campus KU, where she contributes her leadership and organizational skills to the club. Beyond her academic commitments, Ariana demonstrates a profound passion for community service through her frequent volunteering with the Center of Community Outreach (CCO). Outside the confines of the university, Ariana extends her passion for learning by tutoring elementary-aged children. Ariana embodies the spirit of a well-rounded and conscientious individual, poised to make meaningful contributions to society.
Jorge Rosas
Jorge is a sophomore, studying Molecular Cellular and Developmental Biology with a minor in Spanish. He's from Wyandotte, Kansas. Jorge is the President for FIRST, which is the first generation student organization at KU. Also, he is Vice president and Secretary for Phi-Iota-Alpha 🦁, the only Latino fraternity on campus. In his free time he enjoy spending time with family, friends, and his dog as well as playing sports, listening to audiobooks and music (rap and Spanish music mostly).
Isabel Woolley
This is Isabel and she is from Udall, Kansas, a small town outside of Wichita. She is a first-year student at KU studying Political Science and Accounting on the Pre-Law track. Isabel is a member of the Student Rights and Affairs Council where she protects the interests of the student body through legislation and amending the Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities. She is also a member of the KU Mock Trial team and the Undergraduate Business Council. Outside of school, she like to watch shows and hang out with friends. She is excited to run for a Senator position under the Ad Astra coalition!
Olakunle Akinniyi
This is Olakunle (he goes by "Ola"). He is a Sophomore, studying Global & International studies and Political Science. He currently serves as a Freshman Senator in Student Senate. Ola is a member of the African and Caribbean Students Association, where he also serves as their liaison to Student Senate. He is a member of the National Security Club. Also, he is a Global Ties KC youth Diplomat.
Lillian Collins
Meet Lillian, a small town Kansas girl studying Psychology & Applied Behavioral Science! She's currently a Freshman Senator in Student Senate and has been loving it. Along with that she's a member of the Student Rights and Affairs Council, DEI Fund Board, and University Senate Calendar Committee! With her free time, you can catch her in bed watching TV or out and about with her friends! She has enjoyed getting closer with her KU Student Senate family and can’t wait to see what the next 4 years holds!
Shane Herrington
This is Shane Herrington and he is from St Mary’s, KS. Shane is a Political Science pre-law major going into his second year at KU. When not at school he enjoys doing anything outdoors, especially around water, and just being outside in general. In his first year at KU, Shane enjoyed attending many KU athletics events, getting involved in Student Senate, and meeting a bunch of new people!
Shea Marney
This is Shea, and she is a freshman at KU who is originally from Topeka, KS. Right now she is currently studying political science and global studies, and a member of the KU Student Senate’s Finance Council. Aside from Student Senate, she is also involved in the KU Debate Team and a part of KU’s LEAD program. During her free time, she likes to do things like read, write, and listen to music—she has been obsessed with Beyoncé for the better part of a year now, and she is not mad about it. Outside of KU, she currently works as an intern to Kansas Representative Nikki McDonald and her role model is Elle Woods, but from the original Legally Blonde not Legally Blonde 2.
Jude Mubaslat
This is Jude Mubaslat, she's a sophomore studying Marketing with a Professional Selling Certificate and a minor in Sociology on the pre-Law track. Also, she is a second-year member of the Multicultural Business Scholars. She is a member of the Marketing Club, HER Campus, and Phi Alpha Delta (pre-law fraternity). Addtionally, she is a TA at the Business School. Outside of campus, Jude is involved in PAMA, the Palestinian American Medical Association, where they raise money in order to provide medical treatments to those in Gaza and the West Bank.
Lillian Connelly
Meet Lillian, a sophomore in Biological Anthropological and Astrobiology. In her free time she likes to read, paint, museums/aquariums, and camping. Her favorite music to listen to is metal, jazz, alternative, and movie scores. She plans on joining robotics next fall. She is also a member of the Social Justice Council in Student Senate.
Sarah McCoy
Sarah McCoy is a rising junior at the University of Kansas. She studies Political Science and Economics on the pre-law track and is pursuing minors in both history and national security studies. She participates on campus as a Co-Director for Alternative Breaks, an organization that sends students on ethical out-of-state volunteer trips, and works as a research assistant in the U.S.-China Trade War Lab. In addition, she is a member of the Economics Club and the pre-law fraternity Phi Alpha Delta. Off-campus, she interns for Little Government Relations in Topeka, KS, and volunteers with the nationwide Crisis Text Line. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading non-fiction and historical books, learning new things, listening to music, spending time with her two dogs, and exploring the coffee shops of Lawrence.
Jacob McCarty
Meet Jacob, he is currently a freshman who is studying Political Science. He is a part of Dole Student Advisory Board. Some of his favorite things to do around campus is to go to KU basketball games, go to the Rec Center, and hang with friends! Molly Kate Feighny
This is Molly Kate Feighny, and she is a sophomore running to be a junior/senior representative of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She is from Dallas, TX and currently studying to earn a B.S. in Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology. Molly Kate served as a freshman/sophomore CLAS representative this past year, including serving on the Student Rights and Affairs' Council, and the Education Opportunity Funding Board. In her free time, she is involved in a number of clubs and activities on campus including American Medical Women's Association, Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women, and the Gillath Lab, where she has taken on lead researcher for their study about AI and attachment theory. She is also committed to service through Camp Kesem where she is currently serving as Make the Magic Coordinator. She hopes to bring her work ethic and diverse knowledge to Student Senate for year two!
Kozmo Guerra-Harris
Kozmo is a First-year at KU studying philosophy, environmental studies with a minor in astrobiology. Kozmo is currently involved in the sorority Alpha Delta Pi as the Director of Ritual Education. On Kozmo’s free time she works with her grandfather, Jim Iverson, with the therapy dog organization Human Animal Bond that goes to different retirement homes and colleges to give residents and students a well-needed break. Kozmo is from Kansas City, Missouri, where she spends most of her time going to the Nelson Atkins Museum, spending time with her 2 dogs, and going to the lake with her friends. She enjoys listening to J Cole, The Smiths, and Drake. She hopes to make a positive change to the campus and let all students be heard and accepted.
Hunter Dean
Hunter Dean is a senior studying Behavioral Neuroscience. As a member of the SFL community, he is a brother of Theta Chi fraternity and serves on the KU Interfraternity Council as the Director of Recruitment. Outside of the University he is a Paralegal for the Kansas Army National Guard. In his free time he enjoys reading, sports, video games, and finding new food.
Audrey Patterson
Audrey Patterson is a freshman at KU double majoring in Human Biology and French. She is involved in the Warm the World crochet club, Dr.eam Journal KU, as well as research. She is a member of Alpha Delta Pi. She is from Leawood, Kansas where she has two dogs that she loves very much. In her free time, she likes to read, hang out with friends, and take naps. Her favorite KU tradition is waving the wheat at football games.
Annabelle Konen
Annabelle Konen is a sophomore studying Psychology and Applied Behavioral Science. Her hometown is Olathe, Kansas. She is involved in Alpha Delta Pi sorority, KU AMWA, Pre-Occupational therapy club, young life, and Special Olympics. She works in Dole at the Edna A. Hill Child Development Center. In her free time she enjoys reading, going to KU basketball and football games. She also enjoys exploring Lawrence parks and hanging out with friends!
Josiah Slothower
Josiah Slothower is a undergraduate student originally from Plainville, Kansas. He is currently studying Theater but will be studying Paleontology in the fall. He is currently a upcoming student leader for Chi Alpha student ministries and a member of TurningPointUSA. He attends church every Sunday and will make sure he'll say kind words about you.
Eden Wesfahl
Eden Westfahl is a second year student studying political science and sociology on the pre-law track. She is originally from Manhattan, Kansas. Eden is involved in Sigma Kappa Sorority, the University Honors Program, the LEAD program, the pre-law fraternity Phi Alpha Delta, and Moot Court. Outside of KU, Eden enjoys photography. exploring local coffee shops, working out, reading, traveling, and hiking with her dogs. Danika is a Freshmen at KU studying in the college of liberal arts and sciences. She is majoring in Psychology on the pre-medical track and minoring in business. She is very involved in her greek organization, alpha delta pi, and is a member of the honors college. She is from Omaha, Nebraska and loves to travel.
Fawad Khan
Fawad Khan is a current freshman studying Molecular, Cellular, & Developmental Biology with a minor in African and African diasporic languages (Arabic) on the pre-med track and is from Kansas City, Missouri. He is involved with several clubs at KU including hearts for homeless, Pakistani student association, and is the freshmen representative of NMDP (formerly Be the Match). In his free time he enjoys making music, going to the gym, and enjoying nature. He hopes to create a positive impact to all students in senate.

Ashlyn Tait
Ashlyn is a transfer student this year here at the University of Kansas. She has graduated from Neosho County Community College with an Associate’s of Science degree of Athletic Training. Here at the University of Kansas she is apart of student senate as a Senator of Education. She is also apart of the Trio program for first generational students. She came to the University of Kansas to continue on to get her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science.
Mady Mikko
She is a junior at KU studying Community Health and Women, Gender, Sexualities Studies! She is the President of Feminist Campus KU, involved with Her Campus, and on the School of Education and Human Sciences Student Advisory Board. She is originally from a small town outside of St. Louis, MO, and she just loves being outdoors - going on walks, fishing, or just hanging out reading a book!

Jack Weitzman
This is Jack, a Junior styding Engineering. In Student Senate he worked with engineering organizations to help bring more money to the School of Engineering. He likes to spend his time making new friends and learning from others. Outside of class he loves going to the Rec, spending time outside or trying to perfect chicken and rice. Recently he has been into trying to meal prep the chicken, but microwave the rice everytime with 🥦 so it all comes out tasting fresh. He can’t wait to run with Ad Astra and continue bringing positive change to the KU campus and hope Hunter Dickinson starts making more shots, so we can have a better road record next year in the Big 12. Don't think Student Senate can do anything about that, but we said to write a bio and he could put ANYTHING in it.
Evan Shultz
Evan Shultz is a sophomore Mechanical Engineering student minoring in Biomedical Engineering. He is from Kansas City and holds positions as the Scholarship Chairman of Sigma Nu and President of the Kansas Triathlon Club. Evan is also a volunteer for Big Slick (an annual fundraising event for Children’s Mercy Hospital) and will be working as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Black Veatch this upcoming summer. In his free time, Evan enjoys being outdoors, reading, and competing in triathlons.
Carli Black
Carli is a Sophomore studying Mechanical Engineering. She is a member of EWB, SWE, SBE, and ASME within Engineering. She is also a member of @kansasadpi. Chance Dyck
Chance is a senior studying mechanical engineering and is from Olathe, Kansas. He is quite involved with the engineering school serving as President of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and a representative of the Mechanical Engineering Student Advisory committee (MESAB). Sophia Terian
Sophie Terian is a first-year PhD student in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering. She completed her B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 2019, also from KU. Kansas born and raised, she aspires to give back to her community by using her Ph.D. to positively affect water quality in the Midwest and create solutions for agricultural pollution through wetland design and science policy advocacy. Sophie is part of the Madison and Lila Self Graduate Fellowship, Internet of Catalysis Research Traineeship, and KU Vocal Jazz Lab. In her undergrad, she was involved in the KU Honors Program, Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Student Liaisons, Engineers Without Borders, and the Armenian Volunteer Network. In her free time, she loves spending time in nature, making music, and playing with her two cats, Greta and Pablo.
Amber Leise
Amber is a second year graduate student acquiring her masters of business administration. She is involved in the Saint Lawrence Center choir and works in the credit union auditing business. She is from Hartington, Nebraska and enjoys playing guitar, hiking, karaoke, and yoga in her free time.

This is Mihir Sarja and he is the Outreach Director for Student Senate! His work in Senate has been very meaningful to him, working to advance environmental change on campus as well as overall awareness of Student Senate. He's currently a senior studying Environmental Studies with a minor in business, and continuing my education at KU to get my Master’s in Environmental Assessment next year. In the Lawrence community, he's part of Sunrise KU and currently work at Starbucks on Mass St, getting to know many of the locals through one of his favorite things, coffee. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family and staying curious about the world.

Clement, a second-year Masters student in Mechanical Engineering at KU, hails from Nigeria. He engages with Bridges International at KU, a vibrant community of international students. Previously, he served as the Director of Operations in Africa for the Sustainable Green Environment Initiative. Outside of his academic endeavors, he enjoys listening to classical music.

Harini Sreekanth
Harini Sreekanth is a first-year (but academically a sophomore) double majoring in Political Science and Philosophy on the pre-law track. She’s involved in numerous organizations at KU, including Mock Trial, MPLA (Minority in Pre-Law Association), Dole SAB, Unity Hip-Hop Dance Club, and SADC (South Asian Dance Company)! She is from Karnataka, India, and in her free time, she loves to lay in bed and read, doom scroll, watch video essays on YouTube, complete her daily duo lingo and NYT wordle, and watch movies/TV shows (she’s currently in her rewatching Bollywood movies era). Her taste in music is not as expansive as she’d like it to be, but her favorite genres are pop, pop-rock, jazz, and Bollywood music!
Joel Adejola
Joel is a first-year student at KU, pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering with minors in French and Philosophy. He is an undergraduate writing consultant at the Centre for Learning and Writing Support, a Catalyst program fellow at KU's Business School, a Self Engineering Leadership Fellow, a member of Engineers Without Borders, and is involved in research at KU’s Computational Neurocognition Lab. Beyond KU, Joel serves as a coach-analyst with Sporting Kaw Valley, supporting young athletes vying to play professionally. Before enrolling at KU, Joel spent his gap year doing sports and elections investigations at the International Centre for Investigative Reporting (ICIR). One of his publications unraveled the misappropriation of 2.2 million dollars worth of public funds within Nigeria's sports ministry. Originally from Nigeria, Joel's educational path has taken him across continents, studying in South Africa and Morocco before arriving at KU. In his free time, Joel enjoys calisthenics and parkour; he is a fan of jazz music, Tems, and Jacob Collier.

Jill Parsons is from Overland Park, Kansas. Jill is a Sophomore studying Political Science with a minor in Spanish on the Pre-Law track. She is also a LEAD program student, which is a 3+3 year law program. She is actively involved in the University of Kansas Honors program as she was an honors seminar assistant, participated in the London Review, and was named a 2024 University Scholar. Outside of her academics, Jill is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. Currently, she serves as the Panhellenic Delegate for her sorority. Lastly, Jill loves to travel, and is studying in Barcelona, Spain for the entire summer!

Mario is a Junior at KU studying Computer Science. At KU, he is involved in the Zeta Chapter of Theta Tau, a co-ed professional engineering fraternity, Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), Upsilon Pi Epsilon Honor Society, Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE), & Engineers Without Borders (EWB). Elaine Bunten
Elaine Bunten is a junior studying chemical engineering with a data science concentration. She currently serves as the president of the Engineering Student Council as well as an RA in Self Hall and Program Assistant for the Self Engineering Leadership Fellows Program. Elaine is a member of the U.S. Navy’s Nuclear Propulsion Officer Candidacy Program, where she will serve as a submarine officer specializing in nuclear power and propulsion post-graduation. In her free time, Elaine loves to listen to Taylor Swift, cook mashed potatoes, and shop at Target!

Wangeshi Macharia
Wangeshi Macharia is a Freshman at the University of Kansas studying Marketing on a Pre-Law track. She is from Atlanta, Georgia and has enjoyed playing tennis for many years. In school, she has been a part of Mock Trial and the Student Senate. Her experience in Student Senate has revealed the thoughtfulness and creativity people have for making plans and allocations on campus. Outside of school, she is the founder of an organization that funds uniforms for underprivileged students in Nairobi, Kenya. In her free time, she loves crafting clothes, spending time with friends, and listening to R&B music.

Anna Cashett
Meet Anna, a junior from Kansas City, Missouri, double majoring in Political Science and Communication Studies. She has had the joy of being involved in several organizations at KU, including Alpha Chi Omega, The Dole Institute of Politics Student Advisory Board and Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity. Tate Nicholson
Tate Nicholson is currently a sophomore here at KU studying Human Biology on the Pre-med track. Tate is involved in many organizations here at KU, including Days With Jays (a student-led community mentorship program that helps Elementary students in the Lawrence area) KESEM, Real Estate club, a member of Phi Delta Epsilon (co-ed international medical fraternity), and Sigma Nu fraternity. Tate is from Prairie Village, Kansas. In his free time, he loves to play soccer, basketball, helping the Lawrence community, and of course support KU athletics.
Pharmacy
Connor David Cupp
This is Connor, it is his third year at KU, making him a junior. He's studying pharmacy and is a first year student at the pharmacy school here at the University of Kansas. Within the pharmacy school, he is part of APhA. APhA is the American Pharmacists Association. He just volunteered at the Lawrence Community Health Fair on March 2nd with the organization. Connor also works part time at the Schiefelbusch Speech Language and Hearing Clinic as a student office assistant. He was just nominated for student employee of the year! He's from Scott City, a small town in western Kansas. Some things he likes to do in his spare time are to watch way too much Netflix, go on hikes, read books, and study at Anschutz with his friends!
