Before we jump into the crazy adventure of this couple, we must set a background first. Now, who is this couple? Why are they in a cycle of heartbreaks? What does this have to do with Vietnam? All of these questions will be answered. Maybe now. Maybe at the end, but they will be answered.

To start, this storybook will follow the lives of Thanh and Hue as they go through many lifetimes of heartbreak based on famous Vietnamese mythical stories. They will experience many challenges, but this is what makes their love story even more captivating. Their karma will allow them to reincarnate and find each other again and again. Karma describes all of the good and bad actions in a person's lifetime that can carry over between lives, determining the fate of a future life.

Thanh and Hue were this happy couple that fell in love at first sight when they met each other up in heaven. They were both immortal and vowed to live with each forever (literally). However, one day Thanh, being the charismatic guy he is, was joking around with one of the girl servants. Of course, he wasn't flirting with her, but that made the Queen of Heaven think he was betraying the love of her sweet, innocent daughter. The Queen was already not very pleased that the princess married a low-status fairy.

"You have betrayed my daughter's love for you. I knew you were a good-for-nothing boy," the Queen screeched at the top of her voice.

"But it was all a misunderstanding! I was just trying to help your servant; you scared her so much that she dropped everything. Please give me a chance!" Thanh pleaded.

"EXCUSES! I will send you down to Earth to repent your ways, making you experience the sufferings that mortals face. Even if you find love, you will never live with them happily!" the Queen roared.

Thus, without any more details, he was sent down without the love of his life.

"Dad, did you hear that Mom made Thanh a mortal? How could she do this? SHE IS ALWAYS STOPPING ME FROM BEING HAPPY!" Hue complained to the King.

"Please let me go down there and find him, proving Mom that she was wrong and that we are meant to be together," cried Hue as she tried to convince her dad.

"Okay... You only have three chances though. I will look out for you during your journey, but you need to remember that he won't know who you are. You guys won't remember anything about your past lives, just your present," explained the loving king as he hesitantly allowed his daughter to risk her life for this boy. He was willing to do anything to make his little girl happy though.

Thus, she was also made immortal and lost all of her powers.
