•What Acushnet scholarships am I eligible for through this application?

High school students are eligible for A.T.A., Acushnet P.T.O., Acushnet Historical Society, and the Acushnet Lions Club Scholarships. 

•Who is eligible to apply?

Any Acushnet resident entering a FULL TIME undergraduate college degree program for the upcoming school year is eligible and encouraged to apply.

•Do I have to be a current resident of Acushnet?

Yes, students must be residents of Acushnet to apply.

•Do I have to have attended Acushnet Public Schools to apply? 

To be eligible for A.T.A. and Acushnet P.T.O. Scholarships only, you must have attended at least one year of school in Acushnet Public Schools from kindergarten through eighth grade. 

•What do I need to submit to apply?

High school students: Completed application (typed or printed), official high school transcripts, your class rank, and two (2) current letters of recommendation. 

•When are applications due?

•How will I know if I’ve received a scholarship?

If you are chosen as a scholarship recipient, you be notified by mail by the awarding organization. The names of recipients will also be posted on this web page as well as on our Facebook page as soon as awards are determined in late May. The A.T.A. informs the guidance departments at our area high schools as well.

•What do I have to do to receive my scholarship money? 

Most of the scholarships will be paid out by check by the end of summer. The Lion’s Club requires a transcript of first term grades to be submitted before you can receive your award money. 

•How much are the scholarship awards?

Scholarship awards range from $100 to $1000. Award amounts are determined by merit and need as determined in the application scoring process.
