The conference will be held at Lecture Theatre 2 (LT2), School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Building, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
Daily bus transport will be provided for conference attendees between the hotel (Genting Hotel Jurong) and the conference venue (Both to and fro). However, just in case if you need to take a taxi to the conference venue, you may quote this postal code (637371) to the taxi driver.
Directions from SPMS main entrance to SPMS LT2: The main entrance of the SPMS leads to a main lobby with three lifts. Take any of the lift to the third floor. Turn left upon exit from the lift and enter via a glass door. Afterwhich, follow the corridor to reach a large atrium. Look for signages to Lecture Theatre 2 (LT2). Otherwise, simply ask around. There will be friendly people who will help direct you to the correct place! The registration desk will be near the entrance of the LT2.
The suggested hotel is Genting Hotel Jurong. The hotel is about 15-20min by bus to the conference venue. Daily bus transport will be provided for conference attendees between the hotel and the conference venue. The hotel is also within walking distance of a major subway stop (Jurong East MRT Station) that links up to a good part of Singapore, including the international airport.
To get to the hotel from Changi International Airport, you can...
Take the subway system (MRT) from "Changi Airport" to "Jurong East" Station. From Jurong East Station, it is a ~400 m walk to the hotel. Journey time : ~1 hr 30 min. Single ticket fare (ticketing machines) is SGD2.80. (Last train on 4th Jan is 2318hrs).
Take a taxi (you may mention to the chauffeur either Genting Hotel Jurong or give the postal code of 608516). Journey time ~40 min (off-peak hours). Fare : ~SGD35+/-10 (All taxis are metered. There may be surcharges for peak hour and after midnight).
Directions within the airport to both the MRT and Taxis are clear and easy.
You may find information regarding the prevailing Public Health (Eg. COVID19 related) and Entry Requirements (Eg. Visa applications) on the following Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) website:
Do bring along an umbrella if you have one. It is the rainy season now, and chances are high that you will need one! The weather in Singapore is humid and warm (~28 to 30 deg. C), so don't overdress.
All visitors need to fill up the SG Arrival Card (SGAC). This applies even if you do not need a visa to travel into Singapore. It is a heath declaration and you can only fill up less than 3 days before arriving in Singapore. Note: You DO NOT need to pay any money for these submissions.
Regarding current COVID19 Mask mandates in Singapore: Mask wearing is required when travelling in all public transport (eg. MRT, buses). Mask wearing is not required in the University. However, we recommend mask wearing in the conference auditorium.
