The nature of our work in 'The Theatre', and elsewhere, is inherently collaborative. Can it be done by a single person? Ein mensch? Sure — but we don't think that's quite as fun. Simply put, we want to make the best work possible and we think doing the best work possible means making stuff that involves as many different voices, ideas, beliefs, traditions, styles, lexicons, et cetera, always and period.

The world — the civilizations and societies therein — are not stale, homogenous, one-note zones; our space and methods won't be either.

SPECIFICALLY

• we are committed to maintaining a work environment that is sensitive to the needs of all persons involved.

• we will continue to do work that reflects our individual and collective experiences (e.g. queer, trans, first-generation, etc.) — we will not co-opt narratives we have no legitimate tether/claim to without the sustained input/collaboration of persons with the appropriate lived experiences. 

• when we say all people are welcome to work with us, we mean ALL people except — and this should come as no surprise at this point — racists, sexists, ageists, ableists, classists, homophobes, transphobes, xenophobes. If you're generally mean and nasty - and not at least funny and reliable - please don't reach out!
