What to expect during needle insertion
Before the needle is inserted the point is disinfected. The single use needle and guide tube are removed from the packaging and the guide tube is placed on the skin. With an assertive tap, the needle is inserted into the Acupoint. Da Qi is the arrival of Qi at the insertion point.
Sensations of Da Qi might feel like:
A dull ache or heaviness around the needle
Electrical sensations like pins and needles
Sensations traveling to other parts of your body
Or sometimes you may feel nothing
