I am looking to buy Kaspersky Total Security but confused whether it includes Secure Connection (VPN) or not, In the advertising details it says it is included free, but when I go to checkout it lists under the price to add the Secure Connection to the cart at a further 32.99. Can anyone clarify please.

@Rambo, Kaspersky Total Security includes a free version of Kaspersky Security Connection.

The free version includes 200 megabytes of VPN traffic per day (300 MB per day if application is connected to the My Kaspersky account) and does not allow you to select a VPN server.

The Kaspersky VPN, included with Kaspersky Total Security (KTS), is the Free version, you do not have to use the Kaspersky VPN, either uninstall or change the configuration so it does not start when the PC starts, that way, if you ever do decide to use the VPN, it will still be installed & easy to start using.

Bitdefender Total Security stops attacks before they even begin. The new cyber threat intelligence technologies included can analyze and identify suspicious network-level activities, and block sophisticated exploits, malware- and botnet-related URLs, and brute force attacks.

With Bitdefender VPN, you can stop worrying about privacy on the web. It protects your online presence by encrypting all Internet traffic. Bitdefender Total Security includes up to 200 MB per day of encrypted traffic for your Windows, Android, macOS and iOS devices.

When setting up total security there was a section about password manager and when I clicked on it I was taken to the web site and offered a subscription to the password manager but I thought it was included in the package, there is an area in the software saying set up a password wallet but I don't want to be adding extra payments. Could someone tell me if I just use it from the software I have purchased or is it an add on that I have to pay for.

I bought the Total Security Version & feel misled & cheated. It clearly stated on multiple sites selling this version that the Password Manager was included with this suite. Now I find out that it's a separate add-on for Total Security & I'd have to buy a Premium Version to have it's use. Will go back to Kaspersky when this subscription is up. Unimpressed by the vague baloney to suck you in with the obvious con job. Really not happy about this.??? product!!!!

It is now clearly stated on the Total Security product page that Password Manager is not included in the subscription. The previous display of Password Manager there referred to the included Wallet feature that will be discontinued in October this year. This terminology created confusion at the time and was removed, since Password Manager was never included in Total Security.

Password Manager is available as a separate product, but it is also included in the Premium Security and Ultimate Security suites. Kindly be advised that, information displayed on websites stating otherwise may not be up to date, if they are not official Bitdefender websites.

It most certainly did cause confusion. I myself purchased total security when the password manager was listed as included. I do not even have the soon to be discontinued wallet. Thankfully I do have a password manager that I have been using. I would have switched but not at that extra cost. Bitdefender has been causing my laptop, phone and tablet all to run slow, hang... nothing but problems. I researched and Bitdefender is supposed to be easy on system resources. Could have fooled me and I am pretty literate in this area.

Another point about wallet, the program module is running according to Task Manager however the service is unavailable in my Total Security. So not only am not getting the service included, my resources are being used by the service that I can not access!

None of the Bitdefender paid products, which all do include the Privacy feature along with it's setting, blocks pop ups or banner adds. The Firewall does not offer this option either, as some of the other AVs may include it there.

With Bitdefender VPN, you can stop worrying about privacy on the web. It protects your online presence by encrypting all Internet traffic. Bitdefender Mobile Security for Android includes up to 200 MB per day of encrypted traffic for your Android device.

A Webcam Protection module gives you control over which applications can access your webcam. A host of useful options include options to block access to all but your chosen applications, block browsers only, or disable the webcam for everything. We tested this with a custom command line capture tool, and Total Security correctly notified us that it was trying to access the webcam, and blocked it when requested.

Bitdefender's Profile system aims to help. This automatically monitors what you're doing and changes system and Bitdefender settings to deliver better results, for example applying energy-saving tricks when you're running on battery. It's hard to measure the effectiveness of these tweaks, but there are some useful options here, and we're glad to see them included in the suite.
