Effective Date: February 28, 2026
SST Point ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Active Reader - PDF Launcher mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a secure experience when using our App.
This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our App.
1. Core Functionality & Local Privacy Commitment
The primary function of Active Reader - PDF Launcher is to provide a fast PDF reading experience combined with a convenient Home Screen (Launcher) experience.
Zero Document Uploads (PDF Reading): We require storage permissions to scan, display, and manage the PDF files on your device. We strictly guarantee that all PDF files, documents, and reading histories are processed solely locally on your device. We will never collect, store, or upload the contents of your personal files or documents to our servers. PDF files are opened and processed locally on your device.
App List Privacy (Desktop Launcher): As a desktop launcher, this App displays your installed applications on the home screen and in the app drawer. This requires reading the app list on your device. We solemnly promise that your installed app list is used strictly locally on your device for display and launching purposes only. We will never collect, upload, or share your installed app list (including app names/package identifiers) with any third parties. Your installed app list is used locally on your device for display and launching purposes.
2. Information We Collect Automatically
While we do not collect or upload the contents of your PDF documents or your installed app list, we and our third-party partners may collect certain technical, device, and usage information automatically (such as identifiers like the Google Advertising ID, analytics events, and crash logs) to keep the App running, measure performance, and support advertising for our free service.
Device Information: We may collect device-specific information such as your hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (e.g., Google Advertising ID / GAID), and mobile network information (including IP address).
Usage Data & Crash Reports: We collect data regarding how you interact with the App (e.g., features used, session duration) and crash logs to help us identify bugs and improve performance.
3. Third-Party Services (Analytics and Advertising)
Third-Party Access
The App uses third-party SDKs for analytics and advertising. These SDKs may automatically collect and process certain device and usage information (which may include identifiers such as the Google Advertising ID) to provide, measure, and improve their services, including advertising and fraud prevention. The service provider may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.
For clarity, we do not share the contents of your PDF files, your reading history contents, or your installed app list with these third-party SDKs. PDF file contents and the installed app list are intended to remain on your device and are used only for core reading and launcher functionality.
Please note that the Application utilizes third-party services that have their own privacy policies regarding data handling. Below are the links to the privacy policies of the third-party service providers used by the Application:

Information Disclosure
The service providers may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:
as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
with their trusted services providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement. Notwithstanding the above, we do not disclose or provide access to your PDF file contents or your installed app list to any third party.
4. Core Permissions We Request
To provide our core features, the App strictly and necessarily requests the following Android permissions:
Storage Permission ( MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE):
This permission is required to find, index (locally), and display PDF files stored on your device so you can browse and open PDFs in the App. The indexing and scanning are performed on-device, and PDF file contents are not uploaded to our servers.
Query All Packages Permission (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES):
As a desktop launcher, we must obtain this permission to retrieve the list of installed applications on your device, enabling us to properly display and launch these apps on your home screen and app drawer. This permission is used solely for the normal operation of core launcher features.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information processed by the App. PDF file contents and the installed app list are intended to remain on your device, which reduces the need to store such data on our servers. For technical, diagnostic, and advertising data processed by third-party SDKs, data handling and security practices are governed by those providers’ policies and safeguards.
6. Children's Privacy
Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.

If you wish to restore your original phone desktop or completely uninstall this App, we provide the following standard guidelines. Upon uninstallation, local settings and cache generated by this App will be safely cleared. (Please note: The names and paths of system settings may vary depending on the brand and model of your Android device; the following instructions are for reference only):

We are committed to minimizing data collection.
Local Data: Your PDF files and app list remain entirely on your local device. When you uninstall the App as instructed in Section 8 above, related cache and records will be automatically cleared. We do not have copies of this data, so there is no need to request deletion from us.
Device & Advertising Data: For device information (such as GAID) collected by third-party services (like analytics and ad networks), this data is subject to the retention policies of the respective third parties. If you wish to reset or delete your advertising identifier data, you can do so through your Android device settings (typically found under "Settings" > "Google" > "Ads", then select "Reset advertising ID" or "Delete advertising ID").
