Grading

ELT 652 Grading:

You will be graded based on your progress on developing your action research and the help you provide to others in the cadre as they develop their action research. In this semester you will be expected to do the following:

• Participate in forum discussions and in LC synchronous sessions sharing your work and your readings (see activities to see what this involves)-- this counts for 20% of your grade.
• Provide thoughtful constructive critique on the work of your learning Circle partners (see activities for more details). This counts for 20% of your grade.
• Participate in circle research analysis activity (presented in Orlando see activities). This counts for 10% of your grade and if you present you get full points.
• Complete a number of cycles of your action research (this varies) and write up the cycle resports on each of the cycles. This is your work and counts for 40% of your grade
• Write weekly entries in your action research journal (blog). This is your data for your final reflection and counts for 10% of your grade.

You will receive a letter grade for this course. The grade will depend on the richness of your experience in your action research project, your understanding of the action research process and your fulfillment of the requirements. This will be more of a portfolio evaluation and I invite you to participate by evaluating your own progress toward your goals.
