Official Map Sources

The app includes a small number of curated map sources for convenience both pre-installed and available for installation from an online library of "Official" sources.

Where a map provider publishes specific requirements regarding usage — including limits on bulk downloading, caching, rate limits, or server load — we make reasonable efforts to reflect those requirements in the source definition used by the app.

However:

• Licence terms may change over time;

• Some terms may be unclear or open to interpretation; and

• We cannot guarantee that all restrictions are fully captured or remain current.

If you believe a particular Official Source has been included in error or configured in a way that does not comply with its licence terms, please contact us and we will review the matter promptly. Please see the Map Source Takedown Policy .

Community and User-Defined Sources

The app also allows access to:

• Community-supplied map source definitions; and

• Custom map sources created or imported by users.

These sources are not reviewed, verified, or controlled by us (the developers)

In addition to any general licensing consideration, any metadata describing:

• Whether downloading is permitted

• Download size limits

• Rate limits

• Caching permissions

• Attribution requirements

is provided by the source definition author and may not reflect the actual terms of the underlying provider.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of any map source — including viewing, downloading, caching, or bulk retrieval — complies with the applicable licence terms and any specific agreement you may have with the map provider.

This includes ensuring that:

• You hold a valid API key where required and that this provides the entitlements you need

• You are entitled to download or cache map data as appropriate;

• You comply with any size, speed, or usage restrictions;

• You meet any attribution or display requirements.

We do not accept responsibility for misuse of third-party services arising from incorrect, incomplete, or misleading source definitions.

Downloading and Caching Functionality

The app provides technical functionality that enables bulk-downloading and/or caching of map tiles where permitted by the map source definition.

The presence of download functionality within the app does not imply that downloading is permitted by all map providers.

It remains your responsibility to confirm that you have the legal right to download, store, or use any map data accessed through the app.

No Affiliation

Unless explicitly stated, this app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any map provider.

Use for Navigation

Mapping data is provided by third parties and may be incomplete or inaccurate. The app should not be relied upon as the sole source for navigation or safety-critical decisions. Users remain responsible for exercising appropriate judgement and complying with applicable laws.
