ACTE 2026 Virtual Regional Technology Fair – Region 1
Welcome to ACTE Region 1
ACTE Region 1 welcomes schools across the region to participate in the 2026 Virtual Regional
Technology Fair. This event provides students in grades 3–12 with an opportunity to showcase
their creativity, problem-solving skills, and use of technology in a supportive, educational
competition. Schools of all sizes and experience levels are encouraged to participate.
HOW TO GET STARTED
New to the ACTE Technology Fair? Start Here
1. Review the Technology Fair Information to understand participation expectations.
2. Decide which grade levels at your school will participate.
3. Review the 15 Technology Fair categories and have students select a category.
4. Share the category rubric and portfolio requirements with students.
5. Have students begin their projects and create a shared Google folder.
6. Register students and submit project folder links by the posted deadline.
7. Identify at least two judges from your school to support virtual judging.

ACTE 2026 Virtual Regional Technology Fair
Grades 3–12 | Region-Wide Participation Information
Students across the region are invited to participate in the ACTE 2026 Virtual Regional
Technology Fair, a competition that provides students in Grades 3–12 the opportunity to
showcase their technology skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
Participation requirements (required or optional) are determined by each individual school or
teacher.
Divisions
Level I: Grades 3–4
Level II: Grades 5–6
Level III: Grades 7–8
Level IV: Grades 9–10
Level V: Grades 11–12
Categories
Students select one category from the list of 15 ACTE Technology Fair categories.
Project Type
Individual or Group (groups of two students)
All group members must participate in creation, presentation, and video
Each student may submit up to two projects in different categorie
Project Expectations
Projects may be completed at school and/or at home
Projects must be student-created
Teachers and parents may guide and assist (including video support)
Category-specific rubrics are provided once a category is selected
Video Requirement
A video is required for all projects.
Students must show the project and explain the technology used to create it.
Student Project Folder
Each project must include one shared Google folder.
Folder Naming Format:
Category / Individual or Group / Level / Student Name(s) / School / Region
Example:
AD__Gp__Level2__IvanStella__IAH__R1
Folder must include:
Project files or active links
Project video
Student portfolio
AI Use Statement (if applicable)
ACTE Media Release Form
Folder sharing must be set to “Anyone with the link can view.”
The folder URL is submitted on the registration form.
Fees & Deadlines
Registration Fee: $20.00 Per Student (not per project) (ACTE Region 1)
Fee Due: Friday, February 13, 2026
Invoice emailed to sponsor after registration completed
Student Project Due & Uploaded by midnight: Tuesday, February 17, 2026
Awards & Advancement
All students receive a participation certificate
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners receive awards
1st and 2nd place regional winners may advance to the ACTE State Technology Fair
Improvements may be made to projects based on regional judge feedback
