But in this way, you are only removing the opportunity for students to learn in the remaining three weeks before the end of the school year. The medicine here is not suspension, but concrete-action on the lack of proper ventilation and classrooms in schools because this is the main disease that you are still not addressing.
According to the DepEd, enrollment has dropped to 25.1 million this school year, so other schools divide the students' schedules to accommodate different levels or sections in the same classroom due to the limited number of classrooms that you do not have. still being acted upon, making the others look like sardines who are taking pity on the heat.
According to the Alliance of Concerned Teachers – National Capital Region (ACT-NCR) there will only be three electric fans per classroom in the Philippines. But ignore these three if almost only one is working and still suffering from weakness.
It is right that there is a class fund to solve these types of problems. But, in the mandate of the Department of Health Administrative Order No. 2021-0043 which aims to maintain proper ventilation of the school, but it is not mentioned here that the cost will be the students and teachers, but you, the administrators who have the ability to change the system.
The agreement you made is acceptable but if you make a decision, we beg you to fix it especially since safety and knowledge depend on it.
It is not far to repeat the heat suffered by students and also teachers in the Philippines. If this happens again next year, is suspension your remedy?
Prove that education in the Philippines is really STRONG in the way of unity and listening to the grievances of every student. Use the fund to repair the broken equipment and fill the gap in the classroom and electricity because this is not just a typical issue, the development of our country depends on the young people you should be taking care of.
May you realize that you yourselves are deviating from the development of our country, you are only proving that our education system in the Philippines is dying under your leadership that is not meaningful and reasonable.
