Research: I am the Laboratory Manager for the Allen Research Group in the Chemistry Department under the direction of Dr. Matthew Allen. Our research has two main focuses: (1) advancing the use of lanthanide-based contrast agents for MRI, and (2) investigating lanthanide-based catalysis for organic transformations.

Activities at WSU: I am a research staff member in the Chemistry Department and co-advisor for the WSU ACS-SA.

Favorite ACS Events: I am looking forward to all the events that the club has planned for this year. However, I think the October 12, 50 Shades of Green Symposium, will be an exciting event to attend this fall because the students have taken great care to select interesting speakers and plan a fun day with their neighboring ACS clubs.

Hobbies: I am an active volunteer with the Detroit Local Section of the American Chemical Society. This will be my fifth year as Recognition Chair and I am running for Secretary this fall for 2020. I love to travel and have taken recent trips to the U.K. and Kenya. I am hoping to plan my first trip to Asia this year.
