Augmented Reality

Below you can find our 6-week AR workshop course recordings from our Fall 2021 cohort.

Getting Started with Augmented Reality (Focus on AR Makr)

This is the first in a 6-week course to learn more about integrating AR into your curriculum, and how to begin exploring the various AR apps for content creation and content consumption.

Beginning Content Creation (Focus on Keynote)

This is the second session in a 6-week course to learn more about integrating AR into your curriculum, and how to begin exploring the various AR apps for content creation. Session 2 focuses on how to create your own content (2D assets) for us in the platform AR Makr.

Continuing Content Creation (Focus on Tinkercad)

This is the third session in a 6-week course to learn more about integrating AR into your curriculum, and how to begin exploring the various AR apps for content creation. Session 3 focuses on how to create your own content (3D assets) with the platform Tinkercad.

Next Steps with Augmented Reality (Focus on Reality Composer)

This is the fourth session in a 6-week course to learn more about integrating AR into your curriculum, and how to begin exploring the various AR apps for content creation. Session 4 focuses on how to begin using and exploring Reality Composer, as well as to incorporate your own 2D and 3D creations.

Enhancing AR with Audio (Focus on Garageband & Voice Memos)

This is the fifth session in a 6-week course to learn more about integrating AR into your curriculum, and how to begin exploring the various AR apps for content creation. Session 5 focuses on how to begin using apps Garageband and Voice Memos to create and incorporate your own audio files and background music into your AR experiences.

Augmented Reality for Early Learners

In this session we take a look at how teachers and schools can start to bring the purposeful use of Augmented Reality into the classroom, allowing this innovative technology to be accessible and connected to the curriculum.

Teacher Tips

We aim to offer ongoing tips and tricks to help educators following big iOS/iPadOS updates, as well as aligning with best practices and 21st Century approaches to digital teaching and learning.

In this video you can learn some new approaches to support a more streamlined and efficient workflow with Apple native tools on iPad. We focus on the native apps as part of the iPadOS to find organisational structures and approaches designed to save time whether it's seconds or minutes for teachers.

ACS Apple Regional Training Centre is proud to host "Early Years & Digital Learning" panel discussion in partnership with Nottingham and Ballyclare Regional Training Centres, featuring three Apple Distinguished Educators. Karen Irwin is a Foundation Stage teacher and ICT coordinator in Northern Ireland with 16 years experience. She is passionate about developing curiosity and creativity through the purposeful use of digital technology both inside and outside the classroom. Marc Faulder has 13 years experience teaching children in their first year of school. He is the Lead Practitioner for Computing at Equals Trust and was recognised as an Apple Distinguished Educator in 2013. Lyndsey Stuttard is a Digital Teaching & Learning Specialist with over 17 years teaching experience. Her particular focus is on the purposeful use of Augmented Reality in education and how technology can be used to support student choice and voice in the classroom.
