The ACRHS Band Program's success hinges on the blood, sweat, and tears (of joy!) of the families behind the performers. Please take a look at the host of options available throughout marching season and the school year. We can't emphasize enough how much we need you and appreciate any hours you can give.

2025 Game Night Volunteer Crew Needs
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering is a rewarding way to engage in your student's high school experience, not to mention signing up for home football game volunteer opportunities will get you into the game for FREE on the night you volunteer! Here are some volunteer roles available:
Visitor’s Concessions: The BPA operates the visitor’s side concession stand during all home football games, with all proceeds benefiting the band program. We need volunteers to help sell concessions at these games.
Pit Crew: Volunteers are needed to assist with moving The Pit (percussionists who perform at the front of the field) on and off the field during games and contests.
Prop Crew: We are currently seeking new volunteers for our prop crew. We need additional volunteers to assist with getting props on and off the field for the marching band show at games and competitions. This is a great way to be part of the action and see the show from your student’s perspective on the field.
Water for Marching Band: We also need extra help ensuring that our marching band has access to cold water in the stadium on game nights, along with their flip folders and jackets, as the weather starts to get colder.
Pick up Bojangles for Visitor’s Concessions - We need help picking up Bojangles at the Tunnel Road location on game nights for visitors’ concessions.
U-Haul Crew: Help load and unload equipment at marching band competitions and other events.
Cedar Cliffs Classic Tournament of Bands (CCC): Scheduled for October 11, 2025... this is our biggest fundraiser, and we need extensive volunteer support. We will send out a sign-up form for various positions, but we are also seeking a few CCC leaders, particularly for sponsorships. Volunteer opportunities include:
Admissions-help sells admissions tickets to the event
Concessions help sell food
Merchandise Sales-help sell t-shirts, stickers, and airgrams
Hot Cocoa/Bake Sale Table Volunteers- help with hot cocoa and bake sale items sales
Food Ticket Sales-help sell tickets that spectators can use to purchase food at the CCC.
Raffle Baskets-we are looking for volunteers to put together raffle baskets for our raffle basket table. We currently have no one organizing raffle baskets. Please reach out to us if you’re interested in helping.
Pit Crew Driving, Side-by-Sides, and Trailer Needs - We need drivers to help transport each band’s pit crew equipment to and from the field.
Hospitality Servers - we are looking for a volunteer interested in helping us provide an inviting area for our band directors to take a break and enjoy a meal during the day.
ACR Performance Pit Crew- we need pit crew volunteers to help during the ACR performance at the CCC
Water Station - Help keep our visiting bands hydrated before their performances.
Face Painting-we need a volunteer to oversee the cash box and make change at the face painting table
Uniform Volunteers: A dedicated group manages marching band uniforms. We need volunteers to help with uniform fitting on August 19 and August 21 from 1:30 to 3:30.
Uniform Issuance: We need volunteers at each home football game and travel competition to issue and collect uniforms and plumes.
