Launch an independent investigaton into the allegations against Mr. Wilson.
Reassign duties as needed and hold all records and communications handled by Mr. Wilson. Disclose investigation processes and outcomes to the public to the extent permitted by law.
Adopt an ordinance amending the County Administrative Code, Section 02.02.019- Ethical Code of Conduct
Include a framework that actually requires training, violations reporting and independent investigation processes, and disciplinary actions which is common among all other municipal, state, and federal agencies.
Adopt an ordinance amending the County Administrative Code to include general framework for Municipal Advisory Committees:
Definition of the role, disqualifiers, and all commitments expected of appointees
Standard term limits and appointment deadlines
The application and interview process including checks for conflicts of interest or ethical concerns
Requirements for disclosure and recusal when matters under review conflict with MAC appointee personal or professional interests
Process for reporting and reviewing complaints, as well as disciplinary or removal procedures.
