Administrator Highlight

For the month of August, ACOVA is happy to highlight, Clint Bushbaum from Wickenburg Unified School District. 

CTE Director, Mr. Bushbaum has led Wickenburg High School in reimagining our CTE programs. He has worked to introduce new programs and phase out others. Under his leadership, Vocational Agriculture and Python Coding have been added. Construction was phased out, but students looking at these fields have this opportunity in our Agriculture Mechanics program.

He has recruited and supported outstanding teachers to meet our students needs. We currently have two CTE teachers who have joined our staff through non-traditional preparation programs. Each are masters in their field of expertise and have experience working with students. Clint ensures their success by supporting their growth in lesson planning and classroom management.

Since Clint was named CTE Director for out district, membership in our Advisory group has both increased in number and expanded in the representation of members. We regularly have community members asking to be part of the Advisory group.

Mr. Bushbaum has worked with several private donors to ensure funding for CTE programs, particularly for Vocational Agriculture, a very expensive program to start. Clint has met with donors, provided tours and information about CTE and the student organizations that are part of the experience, which has led to many small and large donations.

Clint speaks regularly to groups and individuals about the benefits of CTE and the needs of the students in them. He has become the face of CTE for WUSD!
