This February, we celebrate Career and Technical Education and the powerful pathways it creates for students to explore careers, gain real-world skills, and prepare for success in college, careers, and life. CTE empowers learners to turn passion into purpose, today and into the future.
ACOVA is excited to celebrate the incredible support shown in raising funds for our 2026 student scholarships! Because of YOU, we didn’t just meet our goal...we exceeded it!
TOGETHER, WE RAISED AN AMAZING $16,447 TO SUPPORT GRADUATING STUDENTS ACROSS ARIZONA!
Your generosity and commitment will directly impact the lives of students as they take their next steps toward college and careers. We truly could not have done this without each and every one of you, thank you for investing in our students' futures!

ACOVA HIGHLIGHTS
February Administrator Highlight
For the month of February, ACOVA is happy to highlight, Dr. Kathryn Strevell from Nadaburg Unified School District 81
Dr. Strevell has been instrumental in planning and expanding our CTE offerings since the opening of our school in 2020 with 49 students. We opened the MHS campus and are committed to growing the CTE offerings for our students. As a former CTE teacher, Dr. Strevell has worked passionately to help teachers prepare for their own professional development and worked hand-in-hand with WestMEC to increase our students in their programs. Our next step is satellite programs for health services on site at the new MHS campus.
As a former CTE teacher, Dr. Strevell has been the person driving the growth and expansion of our programs. She has the knowledge and expertise to both support teachers and also to help counselors with the expansion of course offerings. She works on all aspects of our programs with ADE, West MEC and keeping the NUSD and WestMEC Governing Boards informed.
Dr. Strevell is looking at the most innovative pathways to create programs for our students that are geographically practical and needed on the industry side.
Congratulations Dr. Kathryn Strevell on being highlighted as the February ACOVA Administrator!
*Nominated by Dr. Aspasia Angelou, Superintendent
