The vision of Alabama Colleagues Offering Resources for Education is to provide just-in-time professional support and resources for schools and districts across Alabama grappling with extended closure of school buildings to student access. In particular, these digital and human resources are intended to support the efforts of educators, learners and families to continue the prioritization of student learning. ACORE acknowledges current closures as significant challenges; however we believe that the research and practical evidence base for highly-effective distance/online/virtual learning is outstanding. We propose to support our colleagues in reframing this moment of uncertainty as an unprecedented opportunity for positive and lasting change.
