A workshop to introduce and discuss the role of artificial intelligence and computational biology in no boundary thinking approaches to defining problems and scientific questions

Overview
The goal of No Boundary Thinking (NBT) is to access, integrate, and synthesize data, information, and knowledge from all disciplines for defining important problems and articulating impactful research questions. This is orthogonal to inter- or multi-disciplinary approaches which seek to bring a collaborative group together share expertise to address a specific problem. One does not preclude the other and we could thus argue that NBT provides new problems and questions for multi-disciplinary groups to work on.
This workshop will feature several invited speakers who will present research and education examples of NBT facilitated by artificial intelligence, data science, machine learning, and computational biology. The presentations will be used to foster a broader discussion of NBT and its potential applications among all workshop attendees.
The workshop will be chaired by Dr. Jason Moore (Penn) and Dr. Scott Williams (Case-Western).
The workshop will take place as part of the ACM-BCB conference to be held virtually August 1-4, 2021. Details of the speakers and schedule will be posted soon. Please check back for updates.
