I work on all aspects of the group's research, from the theoretical modelling of first-generation galaxies to figuring out new observational signatures for constraining cosmological theories to data analysis algorithms and actual data analysis. Outside of work I enjoy swimming, climbing, cycling, playing the violin, and listening to classical music.
Trottier Space Institute Fellow
I specialize in using the line intensity mapping technique to study cosmology and astrophysics, particularly in theoretical modelling. Additionally, I study the bispectrum signal for future galaxy surveys, investigating the detection prospects of bispectrum multipoles.
CITA National Fellow
I work on 21cm cosmology and have worked on the MWA, HERA, and CHORD. I specialize in rigorous statistical treatments of data and particularly Bayesian inference i.e. “probability as logic” and applying it to actual data sets.
PhD student
I work on developing statistics beyond the power spectrum for describing 21cm fluctuations with the light cone effect. I also work with Prof. Robert Brandenberger on cosmic strings.
PhD student
I work on the HERA telescope and am currently focusing on novel foreground mitigation methods and cross-correlating foregrounds with cosmic structure as seen in optical galaxy surveys
PhD student
I bridge the experimental/theory divide by understanding systematic errors in the CHORD telescope and figuring out how such errors affect our cosmological parameters.
PhD student
I'm working on novel ideas for conducting cosmological tests during Cosmic Dawn and reionization, for example stacking 21cm brightness temperature peaks to test cosmological isotropy.
PhD student
I work on new intensity mapping ideas, such as developing a probabilistic method for stacking intensity maps on galaxies
MSc student
I forecast CHORD's ability to detect slow radio transients (on the timescales of days to years), which will provide a unique view into high-energy astrophysical processes.
