Course Description

The Keystone course is designed to help ninth grade students successfully navigate to high school with a basic understanding of how The Academies at Jonesboro High School Charter School system works. The Keystone curriculum also includes Teambuilding activities designed to enhance student collaboration and social skills.

Students will receive guidance in investigating their own interests, values, and aptitudes in relation to possible Career Pathways and life-long learning. Students will be given technological agents such as MacBook Airs, iPad Minis, access to Apple TVs, printer, copier, and scanner to name a few. The technology along with 21 st century skills, such as, communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and creativity will allow for students to achieve high levels of work on and off the page. At Annie Camp Junior High School, within the Keystone Department, we desire for ALL students to find their own educational path and thrive in that area!

Course Goals, Objectives, and Outcomes Students will learn how to:

1. Collaborate with classmates to achieve common goals both on and off paper.

2. Analyze and model skills necessary for personal, academic, and career success.

3. Demonstrate ability to develop interpersonal skills for academic and societal
   success.

4. Gain crucial self-confidence to become productive members of society.

5. Better understand how The Academies at Jonesboro High School's Charter curriculum works and benefits them.

Course Requirements

1. Create and model certain technological aided projects both group and individual.

2. Fully Participate in ALL Teambuilding activities.

3. Show continuous and consistent positive attitude!
