Dr. Abhin Chandra Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Bhubaneswar, stands as a beacon of holistic healing in Eastern India. Established in 1946 (as the Abhin Chandra Homoeopathic College), it was founded by the legendary Dr. Abhin Chandra Rao, a pioneer whose vision was to bring affordable and effective homoeopathic healthcare to the masses.
What started as a humble institution has grown into a premier seat of learning.
Government Takeover: In 1974, the Government of Odisha took over the management of the college, ensuring its growth into a state-of-the-art facility.
Academic Excellence: Originally offering Diploma courses (D.H.M.S.), the college eventually transitioned to degree courses (B.H.M.S.) and later introduced Post-Graduate (M.D. Hom) studies in various specialties.
The Hospital: The attached hospital has served the people of Odisha for decades, evolving from a small clinic into a multi-departmental healthcare hub known for its high patient inflow and clinical success.
The college is named after its founder, Dr. Abhin Chandra Rao, who was not just a physician but a visionary. His dedication earned him the title of the "Father of Homoeopathy in Odisha." Today, ACHMCH is recognized by the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) and is affiliated with Utkal University.
