Information Literacy

Welcome to ABMRCP Library and Information Centre support the Institute community by providing students with the information skills to compete in today’s challenging and rapidly changing Digital environment. Information literacy is a cornerstone of success in the information age. It's the set of skills needed to seek, retrieve, and evaluate information effectively. Information literacy skills provide the ability to navigate through the overwhelming abundance of information sources in our society, using the library as a gateway to quality information. The information-literate student is well-equipped to deal with technological change, has the ability to work with information in a variety of formats, and has greater control of his or her education.

The primary mission of the library is to support the educational and research programs of the institute. In accordance with the objectives of the institute, the library aims to develop a comprehensive collection of documents useful for the students, faculty and the research community of the institute and to serve as a resource center for the scholars and scientific community. The collection of the library which includes Books, Journals, Thesis and dissertations, UG Project reports, bound volumes, CD-ROM, e- news paper s, monographs e-Books, e-Journals, e-database  etc. and regarded one of the richest collections, in the field of pharmacy. This rich and valuable collection built over from past 15 years has some of the rare reference materials and several important books and Journals. This vast reservoir of knowledge, on a conservative estimate, is worth over Rs.90 lakhs. 

 Acharya and B.M Reddy College of Pharmacy has an excellent Library and Information Center, one of the central support services of the institution, which acts as a primary source for information seekers, Library has made sincere efforts to assure an environment for intellectual inquiry by providing user focused services to obtain and evaluate scholarly information and knowledge available in main formats and strives to create new knowledge to increase understanding and develop wisdom. To keep pace with time and expectations of users, the library has computer facilities with LAN, Wi-Fi enabled and Internet connections, e-Learning packages, Full Text e-Resources and databases under network environment.  

Our aim is to make the ABMRCP Library & Information Centre, a vibrant Learning Resources Center to support the academics, research and development activities. The Library is at the core of research and learning at the college. It is our goal to support and contribute to the quality of academic.
