Universal Design for Learning and Multilingual Learners
Culturally and linguistically diverse learners experience barriers to access content and curriculum; academic texts are mostly written in a restricted code not easily understood and that requires a good amount of background knowledge to convey meaning.
Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a research based approach to provide culturally and linguistically diverse students with supports to overcome barriers and access the curriculum.
