The Advanced Catalysis & Energy Materials Laboratory (ACE Lab) at the Department of Chemistry, Gachon University, led by Prof. Yeonho Kim, focuses on the development of advanced functional nanomaterials for sustainable energy conversion and storage. Our research aims to design and synthesize next-generation catalytic and electrochemical materials and to elucidate their fundamental reaction mechanisms through advanced spectroscopic and structural analysis. In particular, our research interests include solar-driven photocatalytic hydrogen production, CO₂ conversion catalysis, and next-generation electrode materials for rechargeable batteries. By integrating catalyst design, nanomaterials synthesis, and state-of-the-art analytical techniques, we investigate the structure–property–performance relationships of energy materials at the molecular and nanoscale levels.We welcome highly motivated graduate students and postdoc researchers who are interested in catalysis, energy materials, and advanced characterization techniques. Students in our lab will have opportunities to work on cutting-edge research projects related to sustainable energy technologies.
