The IEA congress is held every 3 years. This year it will be held virtually from June 14 to 18, 2021.
For a chance to win a free registration, submit your entry by April 19.

1. Registration Awards
There will be registration award winners in each of the categories below.
1.1. Students
6 awards
Proportionately distributed between undergraduate and graduate students, determined by the proportion of quality entries in each category.

Winners will receive a free ACE membership for 2022
1.2. All other ACE members

2. Submit an interesting example of well or poorly applied ergonomics principles [organizational, cognitive or physical] that you have encountered in your everyday life.
It must be something that you have used or seen at home or in a publicly accessible space [outdoors or indoors].
Other than an example from your home, do NOT submit an example from a space that is not accessible to the public.
2.1. Using pictures and 300 words or less, answer these questions:
What are the characteristics that make it a good or bad design?
What is the impact of these characteristics on the user experience [discomfort, usability, etc]?
If it is a bad design, how would you improve it?
You will be judged on how well you answer those questions as well as the readability of your entry.
Consider that your entry may be viewed on a smart phone or by someone with a vision impairment who is using assistive technology that can convert text to speech but will not be able to describe pictures [i.e. your pictures should have “alt text”]. Note: Alt text will not count towards your word count.
Do NOT include anything that could identify you. Check your text and photos.
Do NOT include video.
3. Review the IEA Privacy Policy.
4. Submit 2 files
1. PDF
2. The source document [i.e. DOC, PPT, etc.]
Save them in your personal cloud drive [G Drive, OneDrive, etc].
Please check that your files can be downloaded without requiring a login.
