Hey there, I'm Amber Calderon a balanced positive reinforcement trainer, following LIMA guidelines (least intrusive, minimally aversive). I found my passion of training dogs when I was 15. Before then, I knew I wanted to work with dogs, but wasn't quite sure in what aspect. I grew up with my red boy who really got my wheels turning on what I could do. I trained my next dog in service work for anxiety and PTSD, at this moment when I had multiple people tell me a Jack Russell Terrier and Chihuahua mix was untrainable for this type of work, I had to prove them wrong and in doing so, a light bulb flickered.
I started gathering more experience with friends and family dogs, then after her passing, I started fostering and training all the fosters that I brought home. From here I went into a doggy daycare setting and working all these pups for group sits, downs, stay, and leash pulling. As I continued my path, I blazed a trial that lead to my certifications in pet CPR, Knowing Body Language, AKC CGC, Trick, S.T.A.R Puppy Evaluator and DOGA (doggy yoga). I'm Mentor Trainer for Animal Behavior College. Followed by titles in dogs sports like: agility, fitness, fast cat and trick dog. I am always furthering my education, following key research to help you and your best friend meet your training goals.
I work with all breeds and families - including kids!
Without further ado, can I train your dog, please?
