Privacy Policy
Accounting101 is a Philippine accounting study app for accounting students and accountants alike. This page explains, plainly, what the app does and doesn't collect, and why.
1. Information we collect
The app does not require an account and does not directly collect your name, email address, or other personal identifiers. It relies on a small number of third-party services, each collecting only what it needs to do its job:
- Google AdMob — shows banner and interstitial ads inside the app. May collect your advertising ID and general device/usage data to select and measure ads.
- OneSignal — delivers push notifications. May collect a device push token and general device data to route notifications to your device.
- Camera — used only when you open the QR tool. Frames are processed on-device to read a code; nothing is stored or transmitted.
- Notes tool — anything you type is saved only on your device and is never uploaded anywhere.
2. How information is used
Technical data collected by AdMob and OneSignal is used solely to display relevant ads and deliver push notifications, governed by those providers' own privacy policies — we don't separately sell, combine, or repurpose it.

3. Third-party links
The Government Websites shortcuts, and the ChatGPT and ChatPDF tools, open external sites inside an in-app browser. Those sites are operated independently and have their own privacy policies, which this app does not control.
4. Data retention & your choices
Notes and quiz progress live only on your device and are removed if you uninstall the app or clear its storage. You can limit ad personalization from your device's Google Settings → Ads at any time, and disable notifications from your device's app settings.
5. Children
Accounting101 is written for accounting students and accountants and is not directed at children.
6. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the update date at the top of this page will change accordingly. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the revised policy.
