Many of our users have asked about seamless data syncing between the mobile and web versions of Account Sir. We hear you! Here’s how our sync system currently works and what improvements are coming soon.
Since Account Sir is a free service, we don’t maintain a real-time server (which would be costly). However, we have implemented an efficient workaround to keep your data updated between devices.
The company name must be exactly the same on both devices to enable sync, and you can create multiple companies too and they will sync separately.
If you enable automatic sync, the mobile app will compress and upload your database to our server every 15 minutes (but only if there are new entries).
If no new data is added, the sync won’t trigger—saving resources and keeping things efficient.
To prevent accidental data loss, automatic downloading is currently disabled. That means you need to manually download the latest data to see your updates.
However, we’re working on an improvement! Soon, the web version will automatically check for new data and update itself when a new file is found.
Ensure you have records in your mobile app before checking on the web. If your database size is small (e.g., 0.5 KB), it means no records have been uploaded yet.
Turn on automatic sync in the mobile app to let it upload data in the background.
Manually download the latest data from the web version to keep everything up to date.
Did you know? You can attach images to vouchers in the mobile app, then upload them to server, they will be visible on the web version too!
