The story of an innocent farmer starts growing a 'Miracle Plant' in his village. The principal characters of the series include Vaibhav, Ramya Pandian[2] and Badava Gopi. It is scheduled to premiere on SonyLIV on 10 March 2023.[3]

There's much more to this story, I'm sure. Questions like why the owner (who is the owner, anyway?) accidentally became a farmer, and does the produce come from his farm still linger. But, hey, I was on vacation.

My apprehension that fertilizer based farming would require more water was true. Mr.Gowda is a successful farmer despite the fact that he has plenty of water resources available in his farm. Mr.Gowda was working for a factory as a technical person. Its really amazing how effeciently Mr.Gowda uses his 2.5 acres land. He has not left a single foot free in his land. In his 2.5 acres he has areca nut,greenhouse,rose garden,biogas,poultry,a small dairy and a lot of diferent variety fruits and creeper veggies visible in his farm. Mr.Gowda has observed that there was some free space between areca nut trees so has put a variety of dal called avere bele (in kannada) and left hen free between trees which consume the insects in soil and drop its shit which is very good for his areca plants. He observed that the water which was stored in his small farm pond was laying idle without getting him some income, so he dropped a few fishes into his farm pond and getting some income out of it. Greenhouse is overwhelmingly being subsidized by various state governments.I was astonished to know that Goa state government offers a 100% subsidy for mounting a greenhouse which implies that the you need not spend a single penny if you have a land in Goa to mount a greenhouse. Even after all these subsidies greenhouse farming would require around 15 lakhs per acre which makes it a very costly project for farmers. Greenhouse is not a permanent option and the soil and greenhouse structure need to be changed every 5 years since the soil looses its properties and the greenhouse structure also wears out. Even after all these efforts marketing the products from greenhouse seems to be a very difficult.

Some of my learning from this filed visit was that each zero farmer is a scientist and each one has his own localized indigenous technique. I asked many questions to Mr.Murthy regarding my readings from Fukuoka and he politely answered me stating that he has only burrowed three techniques from Fukuoka and remaining is his innovation and experimentation.

In Kenya, access to extension services is limited. Most farmers, however, have access to a mobile phone and therefore mobile systems are a logical platform for farmers to access information. The iCow application creates efficiencies across the agricultural value chain. For instance, the iCow platform features allow farmers to sell or find their nearest nursery selling fodder, fruit and timber trees. They can also find agricultural specialists and input providers, extension officers, organic advisors, biogas manufacturers and agro dealers. In a simple cost effective transaction sellers can post their wares onto the iCow platform assured that their mobile phone numbers will be sent to enquiring buyers. Good as they may be, it is crucial though that mobile applications are vetted in order to safeguard the privacy, safety and interests of the users, in this case the farmers, their livestock and the environment

What challenges have you faced in your agribusiness ventures?

The 2008 post-election violence hit us hard. At the time I was running a 10 acre farm in Tigoni, but we were forced to relocate because of the violence. Our outgrower farmers were also affected. By mid-2008 we almost went bankrupt.

One Japanese American who Fletcher knew fairly well was a farmer named Al Tsukamoto.
