Prof. Abdel-Shafy Fahmy Obada

Biography:

Prof. Abdel-Shafy Fahmy Obada, Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University. He is one of the Egyptian figures in mathematics. He received the B. Sc., Ph. D. and D. Sc., in 1962, 1967, and 1994, respectively. He has published over 300 papers and supervised more than 60 PhD and Master Thesis.

He has been awarded several national and international prizes such as:

  • State Sciences and Arts Medal of the First order 2014.
  • The Nile Prize in Sciences 2012
  • Misr El-Khier Prize for highly cited papers 2011.
  • Elsevier prize for scientific publications and citations 2008.
  • State Recognition Prize in Basic Sciences 2005.
  • State Prize for Scientific Innovation 2004.

Prof. Abdel-Badeh M Salem

Biography:

Prof. Salem is a professor emeritus of Computer Science since September 2007 till now. He was a former Vice Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Ain Shams University, Cairo-Egypt (1996-2007). He was a professor of Computer Science at Faculty of Science,AinShamsUniversity from 1989 to 1996. He was a Director of Scientific Computing Center atAinShamsUniversity (1984-1990). His research includes intelligent computing, expert systems, medical informatics, and intelligent e-learning technologies. He has published around 200 papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings in these areas. He has been involved in more than 200 conferences and workshops as an Int. Program Committee , organizer and Session Chair. He is author and co-author of 15 Books in English and Arabic Languages.

He was one of the founders of the following events, First Egyptian Workshop on Expert Systems 1987, Int. Cairo Conference on Artificial Intelligence Applications in 1992 and Int. Conf. on Intelligent Computing and Information Systems 2002, and one of the main sustainers of annual Int. Romanian Internet Learning Workshop Project (RILW), 1997. In addition he was Secretary of Egyptian Computer Society (1984-1990), Member of National Committee in Informatics – Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (1992-200), Member of Egyptian Committee in the Inter-Governmental Informatics Program, IIP-UNISCO, Paris (1988-1990) and Coordinator of the Annual International Conference for Statistics, Scientific Computing, and Social and Demographic Research (1983-1990). In addition he was a partner of a MEDCAMPUS Projects on Methodologies and Technologies for Distance Education in Mediterranean (1993-1995).

Prof. Ebada Sarhan

Biography:

Prof. Ebada Sarhan is currently the President of the Future University and the Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information, the future university, Egypt. He is the founder the Future University, Egypt. He is the founder the Ex-dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information, Helwan University, Egypt.


Prof. Hesham N. Elmahdy

Biography:

Prof. Hesham N. Elmahdy has been appointed as the vice dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information (FCI) Cairo University since January 2017. He was the ex-chair of Information Technology Department FCI. He received his B.Sc. in Automobile Engineering (with honor degree) in the Military Technical Collage, Cairo in 1981. He received his first M. Sc. in Computer Science in the Institute of Statistical Studies and Researches, Cairo University, Cairo in 1992. He received his second M. Sc. in Computer Science in the University of Mississippi in August 1996. He received his Ph. D. in Computer Science in the University of Mississippi in December 1997. He has been a professor in Designated the Information Technology Department, Faculty of Computers and Information, Cairo University since 2012. His current research interests are Wireless Sensor Networks, eLearning, and Multimedia. Hesham was honored "The Best Professor of Information Technology in Africa" award from The African Education Leadership Awards in Dec, 2012. His name was included many times in encyclopedias for his contributions in: the 2006-2007 (9th.) Edition of Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, the Outstanding Scientists of The 21st. Century, Cambridge, UK, 2007, and the 2009 (26th.) Edition of Who's Who in The World. He was selected to be the Professor of the Year in 2011 and in 2012 in FCI. He was awarded and nominated for many prizes (locally and internationally)

Prof. Imane Aly Saroit Ismail

Biography:

Prof. Imane Aly Saroit Ismail (i.saroit@fci-cu.edu.eg). She had B.Sc in 1985, M.Sc in 1990 and Ph.D in 1994, all from Faculty of engineering, Communication department, Cairo University. She worked in Cairo university since 1989, She is a professor in Information Technology department, Faculty of Computers and Information, Cairo University. She worked as Vice dean for Education and Student Affairs in the faculty from 2/2009 till 3/11/2014 . She is now the Dean of the faculty since 4/11/2014. All her researches are focused on computer networks, specially wireless and mobile networks.

Prof. Khalid M. Hosn

Biography:

Khalid M. Hosny is a professor of information technology, faculty of Computers and Informatics, Zagazig University, Egypt. He received the B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. from Zagazig University, Zagazig, Egypt in 1988, 1994, and 2000 respectively. From 1997 to 1999 he was a visiting scholar, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, USA. He is a senior member of ACM and IEEE. His research interests include image processing, pattern recognition, computer vision and Multimedia. Dr. Hosny published more than 60 papers in international journals. He is an editor and scientific reviewer for more than 40 international journals.
