Ana C. Chavez Caliz
Mathematician
Hola! Welcome to my website.
I am currently a postdoctoral research fellow in the Research Station of Geometry & Dynamics at the Mathematical Institute of Heidelberg University as part of Dr. Peter Albers' research group.
I am also part of the organizing committee of the RTG colloquium - "Asymptotic Invariants and Limits of Groups and Spaces" (a joint Research Training Group between Heidelberg University and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology).
I received my Ph.D. in 2022 from The Pennsylvania State University, working under the supervision of Dr. Sergei Tabachnikov.
I enjoy thinking about problems that show connections between:
Geometry, and
Combinatorics
And usually, Algebra gets in the way. I am interested in symplectic billiards, spaces of projective polygons, and tiling problems.
