Welcome to our *new* working group website. Our community is dedicated to enhancing inclusivity within higher education through developing and raising the awareness of accessible mathematics. Our working group is open for all to join, we focus on identifying platforms, workflows and real-world practice to build an inclusive environment where the power of numbers is within reach for everyone.
As a group, we focus on the application of mathematics in different disciplines ranging from, chemistry, economics, engineering, earth sciences and maths. We know that maths is embedded in all subjects at some-level and we aim to remove the barriers faced by students and staff interacting with inaccessible content.
Let's collaborate, share insights, and pave the way for a more accessible world full of maths.
The JISC A11y-Maths group is made up of community members from UK higher education institutions, and passionate businesses that share our drive to make maths more accessible for all.
We aim to improve the inclusivity of mathematics so that everyone can interact with maths content without burdon or barriers, enabling higher levels participation, independence and fairness during their education.
We are continuing to grow our network and connect with each other to share our experiences and guidence to each other. Join our working group to learn more about how to make maths more inclusive, and to share your experience of doing so!
